How to get your event listed on DallasNews and in Guide

Submit your event to be considered for online and print listings by using the new form.

Love the Things to Do section but think it’s missing an important thing: your event? You can submit your event to be considered for DallasNews’ listings by using the online submission form located here. You’ll need to create an account, but it’s fast and easy and free.

But first, a few notes: the Things to Do section’s focus is on entertainment in Dallas-Fort Worth, and for our event listings, that means festivals, performances by touring bands and comedians, fun for families, holiday celebrations, food and drink, geeky stuff and film festivals.

At this time, we do not list weekly recurring events such as trivia and karaoke, charity events including galas/luncheons and runs/walks, workshops and classes, pet adoptions, blood drives, community meetings such as PTAs and HOAs, events targeted to homeschooled kids or active seniors, photos with Easter Bunny or Santa Claus, members-only events, or events taking place at private homes. Summer camps are listed in a special section with its own submission form.

A few things about the event submission form located here: If your event does not have a specific end time, then you can set the end time field to match the start time field. If your event happens more than one day, you can enter each date one-by-one. Have a long and/or complicated schedule? Put all of the dates and their times in the description field and we’ll do the rest if we approve the event.

Why didn't you approve my submission?

If you checked the Things to Do page to make sure the event wasn’t already listed and you followed the advice above about what we’re looking for, email guide@dallasnews.com to give us a nudge. But please give us 24-48 hours to approve it first.

In the mean time, check out these great events coming up.
