Mavericks star Luka Doncic’s newest signature shoe the Luka 2 is out now

The new silhouette 2 launched earlier this week with an event in Paris and is now available for purchase.

They grow up so fast.

Seems like it was only yesterday that we watched Luka Doncic shaking NBA Commissioner Adam Silver’s hand while wearing an Atlanta Hawks hat on draft night. Now the 24-year-old Wonderboy is all grown up, engaged to be married and rocking a new silhouette for his signature Jordan Brand shoe.

The Luka 2 launched earlier this week with an event in Paris Tuesday, but the sneaker, if they haven’t sold out already, can likely be found at shoe stores near you very soon. The Dallas Mavericks star posted a video on his Instagram from the launch event where he met with fans, signed autographs and judged a dunk contest.

According to a Nike news release from June, Doncic’s new shoe was designed with nonlinear movements in mind, in order to better facilitate that Luka Magic Mavs fans have come to expect. To make that possible, the Luka 2 boasts a combo of full-length Formula 23 and the IsoPlate (“Jordan-only innovations”) working in conjunction with a new medial Cushlon 3.0 wedge foam.

The release also says that the Luka 2 will release a colorway with at least 20% recycled material by weight each season, with each colorway being inspired by Slovenia.

The Luka 2 launched with the “Luk.AI’” colorway, named after Doncic’s AI alter-ego, with a black and purple upper and green accents, and a “Q54″ colorway commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Quai 54 streetball tournament.

The Luka 2 retails for $130 in adult sizes on the Nike website.
