The Dallas Mavericks are heating up in the 2023 NBA Summer League.

After overcoming a 15-point deficit against Philadelphia on Monday, the Mavericks pulled out a 98-96 overtime victory against Golden State on Wednesday.

Dallas clinched the sudden-victory in the league’s altered overtime format thanks to a Braxton Key put-back dunk following a missed shot by Olivier-Maxence Prosper.

In summer league play, overtime is two minutes instead of five, and if games reach a second overtime, it becomes a sudden-victory format where whichever team scores first wins.

The Mavericks were the beneficiary on Wednesday.

Jaden Hardy led the way with 21 points in 37 minutes, while rookies Dereck Lively II (11 points, 10 rebounds) and Prosper (17 points, 10 rebounds) both recorded double-doubles.

The Mavericks have won back-to-back games and will face the Indiana Pacers on Friday.
