Lakers sign undrafted TCU guard Damion Baugh to Exhibit-10 contract, reports say

Baugh spent the last two seasons of his collegiate career at TCU after getting his start at Memphis

TCU’s stars from its past two NCAA tournament runs, though undrafted, have now each landed an NBA gig.

First, Lancaster product Mike Miles Jr. signed on with the Mavericks. Now the Lakers have added Damion Baugh on an Exhibit-10 contract, according to Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times.

An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, minimum-salary NBA deal that allows the franchise to convert the contract to a two-way contract if that change is made before the start of the regular season.

Baugh posted career-highs in rebounds (4.7) and assists (5.8), helping TCU advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. His best outing last season came against Texas in March, where he scored 24 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the field. While Baugh’s teammate Emanuel Miller reportedly decided to return to TCU, Baugh opted to keep his name in the NBA draft cycle.

In two seasons with the Horned Frogs, Baugh averaged 11.6 points to go with 5.1 assists and 4.5 rebounds. According to 247Sports, Baugh was a four-star recruit in the class of 2019. He held offers from Auburn, Georgetown and Texas Tech before he committed to Memphis.

Baugh was considered the No. 2 recruit in Tennessee behind future Detroit Pistons center James Wiseman.
