The Kyler Murray path at Oklahoma has another traveler.
James Nesta, a touted 2024 linebacker recruit from North Carolina, announced his commitment to the Sooners on Tuesday via social media. He is also committed to the university to play on the baseball team as a pitcher.

A 6-4, 205-pound athlete, Nesta chose the Sooners over other offers from Miami [FL] and North Carolina, among others.
Per 247sports, Nesta is the ninth-ranked linebacker recruit in North Carolina, and the 35th-ranked linebacker in the country.
He is Oklahoma’s eighth commitment in the 2024 class. The Sooners’ current class in the next cycle holds the No. 36 overall spot in the 247 composite rankings nationally.
