Texas A&M secures commitment from Cameron Coleman, one of 2024′s top WR recruits

The 5-star WR held offers from Alabama, Texas, LSU and Clemson.

One of the nation’s top 2024 wide receiver recruits announced his commitment to Texas A&M on Tuesday.

Cameron Coleman, a 5-star recruit out of Phenix City, Alabama, became Texas A&M’s 16th commit in the class of 2024. He’s currently the program’s highest-rated 2024 recruit, joining 10 4-stars and five 3-stars.

According to 247Sports, Coleman is the No. 5 receiver in his class. Notable names near the top of the list include Chaminade-Madonna Prep’s Jeremiah Smith and Midlothian product Bryant Wesco.

Coleman (6-foot-3, 180) held offers from multiple Power 5 programs, including Clemson, Alabama, LSU and Texas. He took an official visit to College Station on June 16.

The receiver had a productive showing at Central High School in 2022, catching 31 passes for 542 yards and six touchdowns.
