Four-star WR Aeryn Hampton commits to Texas over Alabama

Hampton chose the Longhorns over offers from Alabama, Baylor, LSU and Oklahoma.

Aeryn Hampton is back in the 2024 recruiting class of the Texas Longhorns.

After the four-star wide receiver from Daingerfield High School decommitted from Texas last November, Steve Sarkisian nailed down his re-commitment on Friday over fellow finalist Nick Saban and Alabama.

Hampton is ranked as the No. 23 athlete in the nation and No. 47 overall prospect in Texas, according to 247Sports.

Hampton, listed 5-10, 175 pounds, is the Longhorns’ 13th commit in the 2024 class.
