“By decreasing the number of scheduled commitments or reducing travel time to in-person meetings, we have empowered our employees to use this time as they best see fit,” Feagin said.

The Plano-based title insurance company has employees working in the office, remotely or a mix, depending on their roles.

“We have had great feedback from employees, so we plan to keep this model going for the foreseeable future,” he said. “Our managers meet regularly to discuss best practices and lessons learned so that we can continue to improve the workplace for all employees.”

The company encourages internal training and promotion from within. Its online Republic Title of Texas University gives employees the opportunity to enhance their technology and industry knowledge.
