Heat alerts are back in full-effect across North Texas. An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect for the DFW area and counties west, where air temperatures could exceed 105. A Heat Advisory is in effect to the east. Areawide the heat index could exceed 110 in some spots. Please take the heat seriously and be sure to stay hydrated. Please take care of your pets as well.

Several days this week will feature triple-digit high temperatures. The hottest days will be Tuesday and Wednesday with highs around 105 to 106 degrees.

Also, due to the dry vegetation across western North Texas, there is an elevated fire danger. Please practice wildfire safety for the week ahead.
